How many players Squimbo needs
Squimbo starts with at least two players. The night feels best with about 3 to 8 people already in the same Discord voice channel.
Minimum to start
You need two people who open the Activity in the same voice channel. One person alone cannot run a “who is most likely” vote for someone else.
Sweet spot: 3 to 8
That size keeps prompts personal, voting fast, and the call readable. Bigger rooms can still play, but the roast gets thinner and rounds take longer.
Late joiners
Someone who arrives mid-night opens Squimbo in the same voice channel. They join the Activity instance that is already the room.
Hard max
Product docs do not advertise a hard public max for marketing. Design for the voice crew on the call, not a whole-server audience.
FAQ
Can two people play?
Yes. Two is the minimum to start. About 3 to 8 people in voice usually feels better.
What if the whole server joins?
Squimbo is built for a small voice crew, not a whole server audience. Stick to the people on the call.
Do spectators need accounts?
Players are whoever opens the Activity in that channel. Squimbo uses Discord identity: there is no separate Squimbo account on the marketing site.
